The 2020 Group is calling on Scottish organisations to lead by example by signing up to the pledge, which consists of four projects that cover electric vehicles, virtual meeting technology, public transport and fuel efficient driving.

The event formed part of the Aberdeen City Council and EU-funded Mitigation in Urban areas: Solutions for Innovative Cities (MUSIC) Project, which aims to halve carbon emissions in Aberdeen and project partner cities Ghent, Ludwigsburg, Montreuil, and Rotterdam by 2030.

Transport Minister Keith Brown announced the additional funding for Cycling Scotland’s Mutual Respect Campaign at the opening of Scotland’s first Rail Cycle Hub at Stirling Railway Station. The campaign will be launched in August to help create a culture of mutual respect between cyclists, pedestrians, motorists and other road users across the country.
